Dreams really do come true

Well dreams really do come true. Actually, it was really anti-climactic in the end. We showed up at zone training meeting. We had a regular meeting. And then they gave us the iPads. No additional training or warnings, or anything. Now we have iPads. Kind of strange.
In other news, we had a pretty good week. I am now here with Elder Roth. He is from Switzerland. His accent isn’t too terrible. At least, no one pegs him immediately as Swiss on the street. One of our zone leaders is from Switzerland though. That means that I get to hear full on Swiss German whenever the two of them telephone. We had a really good week. Walked around. Talked to people. Went to church. All that jazz.
I hope that everyone is doing well.

Schweizerdeutsch

Dear Everybody,
It was another exciting week. Transfer calls came. Sadly, Elder O’Keefe is leaving us. In fact, half of our district is gone. Actually half of the zone. And in all reality, they dissolved our zone and made a new one. We have half of the missionaries in the same zone that met together this last Wednesday for zone training meeting. My new companion is Elder Roth, from Switzerland. It looks like I will get an opportunity to practice my Schweizerdeutsch (Swiss- German). It should be a fun time. This probably means I won’t get my wish to stay in Plauen until the end of my mission though. If it did, then Elder Roth would be the first and only companion that I have had for three transfers.
I hope that everyone is doing well.

This is the spot where Elder Uchtdorf's family
was invited to church by a member!
This makes it really hard to buy a ticket.
This is why Sachsen is my favorite part of
 Germany that I have seen.
This is a really cool bridge from actually
being on the bridge.

Finally Summer Time

Well, it is finally summer time. The rapeseed fields are in full bloom. The weather is fairly warm. It will still get warmer. Elder O’Keefe reads a book. (Okay, he does that every time of the year.)
With the sunshine comes people being in a better mood, missionaries being in a better mood because they are finally getting the vitamin D that they need, and they start buying ice cream all the time. Normally missionaries that is. I still try to avoid it because it is really expensive to buy comes from some stand, even though it seems cheap at first glance.
Anyways, things are going pretty well in my neck of the woods. No sign of a train strike this week, but next week would be funny if it were on transfer day.
I hope that everyone has a great week!
