Improve to the end

Dear Everybody,

   Elder Friebe and I discovered that if we boil all of the potatoes on P-day that we are going to eat throughout the week, we can let them cook for longer than we are able to with the short hour that we have for lunch every day. I had forgotten how good potatoes are when they are completely soft.

   Elder Friebe's umbrella broke, right before it hailed. Luckily we were at the bus stop. 

   We left zone training meeting early so that we could catch a train. We had already missed the opening song and prayer because we were late. It turned out to be a good thing though. As we were heading to the train station, a man came up to us. He introduced himself as a member who had tried to return to church, but was unable to find the building because they recently changed buildings in Kiel. We did not know where the new building was, but we were able to direct him to find the missionaries at the institute building where we had just been.

   The Lord has His hand in the work of salvation. Our members have begun increasing their efforts to share the Gospel with their friends. Together we are working to change Germany.

   Our mission has recently seen an increase in our expectations. We have started memorizing scriptures. We are trying to do more so that we can keep up with the hastening of the Work. As a general authority once said, "It is easier to believe in eternal progress, than to practice daily improvement."

   As Elder Friebe says, "Improve to the end."
