Dear Everybody,

This week, we learned about the East Frisian “sport” of Bosseln. It is basically bowling in the street without pins while taking turns. There is a goal and you roll the ball towards the goal. Whoever gets there first or in the least amount of throws, wins. Points are scored when the opposing team fails to pass your ball with their ball in two throws. I couldn’t really get into it. I heard that the Germans used to do it with the heads of their enemies. This has been your German Cultural Update.
